We all know when we hear or see something that isn’t right. Although you would think people wouldn’t make racist comments to me, it does happen. Yes, seriously.
When I saw Gabrielle Union speak at the BlogHer Creator’s Summit a couple of years ago I was blown away by all the ways she lives a life of authenticity. I research and write a lot about self-care and growth for Moms. This includes honoring our values in what we say and do, even if it’s not what the people around us expect to hear.
I’ve been encouraged by the support and allyship I’ve seen in the community. It takes courage to have uncomfortable conversations and opening up about our values wherever we are will help to change things.
