It’s ok to not be ok. We are in unprecedented times and the path forward is unclear.
The mental load we carried before has grown exponentially. Our lives have been shaken and routines pulled inside out. Work has fundamentally changed or disappeared. Many of us have added homeschool logistics to our daily regimen all while maintaining household duties and our other roles.
Our homes that once felt like sanctuaries now feel like prison cells. We’re grateful for the gifts and added time with our families but long for security.
It’s ok to feel stressed, frustrated, nervous, angry and sad. Reach out to friends and family if you need extra support. Remember that perfection is an illusion. If you need to give your child a show or tablet to get a break, it’s ok! Take care of yourself too!
