Moms still ‘own’ everything childcare and household responsibilities in most families. And in the US, one of the few countries that does not mandate paid family leave, many Moms return to work when they aren’t ready. Or make the difficult choice to give up their careers altogether.
Gender equity has always been a struggle for women in the workplace. But there are ways that organizations and leadership can make meaningful changes to support working parents, especially by recognizing men as caregivers.
We hear from many Dads who want to ease the weight that their partners bear in the home. So, it’s critical for employers to restructure their cultures to fully allow parents to honor their commitments at home and at work.
