Inevitably, it looks nothing like we wanted it to look. So, then we scramble in service to the mythical idea of better ‘work/life balance.’
Many of us have been working at home — fully or more often — since the pandemic hit. And having to tell your child that you can’t play right now because you are on a work call, is a devastating feeling. And in many cases, it has led parents to pull crazy, late night or early morning hours, to free space in their days for childcare and play. And it’s burning us out. There are other options.
