Ready to Make the World Better? Enlist in These Mom Powered Causes

It’s difficult to escape headlines about the pressing problems we face in society. Or continue to function in our families, careers and communities, without acknowledging it. It’s exhausting but most of us are well beyond the hand wringing stage, we want to do something about it.

The good news? Many are taking bold stances to upend systems and balance inequities. By bringing visibility, resources and energy, to some of the world’s most entrenched challenges.

Women Dominate in Public Good

Corporate America has traditionally undervalued the ‘soft skills’ often associated with female leadership. Or the leadership superpowers we gain through parenting. But women still achieve exceptional results in every field, and are the majority of the nonprofit workforce. And many, have used their influence to start schools, alleviate poverty, cure disease and improve living conditions.

In Time, More Women Will be Wealthy

You may have heard about the ‘great wealth transfer‘. Where women are projected to have more wealth than ever in the next 20+ years. Not because the gendered wage, or leadership gaps are closing faster, they’re not. However, this new wave of inherited wealth will likely lead to more women in philanthropy. But philanthropy isn’t just about writing the big checks.

But you Don’t Need to ‘Wait’ to Have Impact

Yes, we tend to associate charitable giving with the high net wealth community. Yet mothers are running everything from meal trains and parent teacher organizations, to food drives and clothing swaps. Often with nothing more than time, compassion and ingenuity.

Leadership opportunities are everywhere. So, if you feel compelled to take an active role in positive change, why wait? Social impact isn’t ‘one size fits all’ there are many ways to engage, especially within your local community.

Support Amazing Causes Today

Many leaders use their collective power and goodwill to disrupt outdated norms. Including caring for those in need and shifting outcomes for families. The following national organizations continue to disrupt the status quo.

So, consider donating your time, money or expertise through this season of uncertainty, to incredible mom-powered causes.
