As parents, we often find that there isn’t enough time to pursue our other interests, dreams or goals. With our careers and childcare competing for our time, we often put those dreams on hold… sometimes, indefinitely.

But what happens when you have that brilliant idea? You know, the one you just have to pursue. What do you do next? Authors, Kendra and Claire-Voe Ocampo realized that although there were many books celebrating LGBTQ families, they often depicted a struggle. They wanted to create a story with same-gender parents that depicted everyday life. And that’s exactly what they did!
